I think the most common one is to lose weight. I don't think that is a bad thing. I am concerned that so many people these days are 'afraid' to make a resolution because they have broken them so many times. Come on people! Try again! We can't make all our goals, but not having a goal is the worst goal. We need to keep making resolutions and try to find ways to keep them.
So, about dieting and losing weight. I know there is a prevalent thought that losing weight and gaining it back is a bad thing for your health. I just don't know that I believe that. I feel that if I lose 10 pounds at the first of the year, each year, and gain it back by the end of the year, I have successfully maintained my weight. Is that bad? I don't think so.
